Our principle
Each calculator must state the method it uses, explain the expected inputs and help users interpret the result. Default values are adjustable reference points, not universal truths.
Simple and advanced modes
Calculators open in simple mode with inputs most users can readily understand. More technical parameters remain active with reasonable defaults and can be displayed at any time in advanced mode.
Level of precision
Mathematical calculations can produce exact results. Estimates involving prices, home improvement, finance, sport or energy, however, depend on the assumptions and information entered.
Sensitive calculations
Tools relating to health, safety, standards, electricity or financial decisions are provided as calculation aids. They do not replace professional or regulatory verification when it is required.
Continuous improvement
TesCalculs progressively gives priority to the most-used pages, adding more variants, examples, explanations, references and consistency checks.
