Actual riser = 280 ÷ 16 = 17.5 cm

Total run = 15 × 27 = 405 cm

Blondel = 2 × 17.5 + 27 = 62 cm

Other possible configurations

  • 15 risers · 18.7 / 27 cm · 36.5°
  • 17 risers · 16.5 / 27 cm · 32.9°
  • 14 risers · 20 / 27 cm · 38.6°

Geometric sizing aid only: check applicable rules, headroom, stairwell opening and guards. Obtain professional validation when required.

What you get

Find a practical step count, riser height and going for the available space.

How to use it

Enter only the requested values and check the unit shown beside each field. The main result gives the figure to use first. Details explain conversions, secondary quantities and rounding. Change any value to compare another situation without starting again.

Before using the result

Measure the finished area and use the coverage or pack size stated on the product you will buy. An allowance helps cover cuts and waste, but does not replace the manufacturer’s instructions.
