- Decide whether the route is pedestrian or vehicle-bearing before choosing layer depths.
- Provide a fall and outlet so water cannot remain trapped in the construction.
- Use compacted depth and ask the supplier about the loose-to-compacted allowance.
- Calculate the load-bearing and decorative layers separately because density and price differ.
